It doesn&#039;t seem like it can cause deafness, but don&#039;t rule it out, i know that it can cause brain and neurological damages.
Maybe depending where the brain suffers injury the hearing can be lost.
Here are some links with more info.&amp; if in doubt contact a Vet , you can always ask over the phone to know how to handle the situation if in fact  your Dog is deaf, also are some websites with how to test you Dogs hearing.
