Do I have tinnitus hearing loss, etc?
JMR & NJJ is ? asked:
I don’t know how to describe the sound I hear. It’s not like a loud ringing bell, screaming. It’s like a distant pulse thing, like my heart beating? I don’t know. I’m sorry I’m not being very descriptive. I’ve always thought it was normal, that you were supposed to hear that sound but now I’m not sure. I’ve never had trouble sleeping over the years but lately I have. It’s only at night when I notice it. During the day I must be disctracted or just not have it. Please give me an answer! Am I going deaf? Will I become deaf?! I’m only 16. HELP!

Are you taking birth control?
This sounds more like a rise in your blood pressure then anything else. I would suggest you go to your local pharmacy or wal-mart and take your blood pressure to rule that out first. This could be very serious.

Create a video blog…instantly.
It could well be a rise in blood pressure, but please, have it checked
out by a physician, preferably an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and
throat specialist).
And don’t panic about going deaf–you don’t have enough informtion yet.
Just a personal detail–a year and a half ago my employer suggested that I get a hearing exam—that I didn’t seem to always understand what was being said to me.
I was scared, like you, but I made an appointment with an otolaryngologist. As it turned out, I have a mild hearing loss,
and now wear a hearing aid. It’s made a big difference in my life.
So gather up your courage and see a professional. You just migt be glad you did.

Hey,
It definitely sounds like you have tinnitus.
There are several things you can do, one is to see a doctor, this may be an expensive option given that your 16. Another option is to look at natural tinnitus cures such as End Your Tinnitus.
The page below has a heap of info about tinnitus and recommends a range of different product.
Hope this helps,
