i had a ear infection in both ears a week ago. one was way worst then the other. even had small amount of blood in it. went to doctor. she said she’s never seen an ear infection in an adult that bad. put me on antibiotics for 10 days. my hearing is a bit muffled but pain and blood are gone? how long can i wait for my hearing to return?

there may be liquid built up in your inner ear, and it may take a week or two to drain completely. Anything over a month and see the doc again. you may need to have shunts (tubes) put in.

Your doctor should have asked you to return for a check up after you finished the cours of antibiotics. I would return as soon as possible because it needs to be check. And you may need a repeat prescription. Ears are very sensitive and I believe that you should never take chances with your hearing.

More than likely everything is fine – but I know if it was me I would be getting a follow up

Mind-boggling piece of writing, I share the same views. I wonder why this kind of human race really does not wonder similar to me personally as well as the site owner :)
