How to pay for a hearing aid?
older girl asked:
I saw an ear specialist yesterday and finally got my hearing checked since i am not hearing things i should be and used to. I found I have mild hearing loss, it is permanent and is expected to get worse as i get older. I am 39 and disabled. I do not qualify for medicare or medicaid. I have blue cross insurance. Insurance does not cover hearing aids, I am told most do not. They said I really do need one and they cost $900 – $6000 per aid depending on which one you choose. I can not afford this. Any ideas?
