Is there any explanation for sudden vision and hearing loss?

Today I was talking with an acquaintance and suddenly lost all sight and hearing for about 3 minutes, and am not sure what caused this to happen I was fine one minute but then it suddenly overwhelmed me.

    umm.. i suggest you go to a doctor and get an MRI. my aunt had the same thing and turned out she had a brain tumor. shes still alive though, she got it removed. dont mean to scare you.

    You could have multiple sclerosis. This happens sometimes to people who are diagnosed. I would ask your doctor.

    Whatever it is, it sure as hell isn’t good!

    It could be a LOT of things… Everything from sizures to a tumor to medication…

    She should go to a doctor NOW… Like Right Fu*king Now!

    If she has a low income, she can apply for aid… Don’t delay treatment for somthing as serious as this!

    As everyone above myself see a doctor ASAP. From an audiologist and ENT view, this seems to have some resemblance of Meniere’s Disease which is a condition which can cause sudden loss of balance, hearing loss and blurred vision. The best thing to do is to find the acquintance and ask them what happened so when you speak to your physician they can have a better idea as to how to treat you.
