You might have an ear infection, which would indicate a doctor and some antibiotics.

If you're really opposed to that route, try this:

1) Lots of clear fluids (hot or cold -- water, juice, tea, sports drinks, broth)

2) NO dairy (it increases mucus production - icky - not what you want more of right now)

3) OTC decongestant (any will do - just be sure you get daytime formula for day, nighttime formula for night, unless you want to be a basket case)

Then be prepared for it to take longer to clear up than it would if you went the doctor/antibiotic route. But if you do use antibiotics, the above stuff will still help you feel better.

Good luck.

you need to see the doctor for an antiobitic to clear up the infection in your system. don't wait as infections can get out of hand.
